Meet Rosetta

During an incident, the answers an engineer needs are spread across tools. Telemetry sits in one place, configurations in another, and tickets in a third. Building a complete picture means knowing which tool holds which piece and how to query each one, usually under time pressure.

Rosetta is the conversational interface for Selector Foundry, the agentic NetOps platform built on Selector’s existing AIOps and Observability solution. You ask a question in plain language, and Rosetta works out which specialist agents can answer it, calls them in parallel, and returns one reply with the evidence attached.

Rosetta succeeds Selector Copilot and extends it in two ways. It holds context across a full conversation, and it coordinates a crew of specialist agents behind the scenes.

How Rosetta works

Rosetta draws on the context Selector’s data platform has already built. The platform collects telemetry from more than 300 sources, normalizes it into one model, and correlates events across domains to establish root cause. Rosetta reasons over that correlated context, which is why its answers stay consistent and trace back to evidence.

Every request moves through four steps:

  1. Ask. You ask a question in plain language, using your own terms and acronyms. There is no query syntax to learn.
  2. Plan. Rosetta reads the intent behind the question and decides what information the answer requires.
  3. Orchestrate. Rosetta calls the right specialists in parallel. A correlation question goes to Loom, a ticketing question to TicketMaster, and a request for a new view to Artist.
  4. Resolve. Rosetta combines the findings into one reply, with the evidence behind each claim.

Rosetta also works when nobody has asked yet. An incident, a schedule, an API call, or another agent can start an investigation on its own. When an engineer steps in, Rosetta is the window into that work: ask what happened, and the case, the evidence, and the next step are already there.

What Rosetta can do

  • Hold a real conversation. Rosetta handles follow-ups, reformatting, and your team’s own acronyms. Ask for a grouped table and it restructures the answer it just gave you without running the query again.
  • Delegate automatically. The specialists stay out of the way. You ask Rosetta, and Rosetta decides who answers.
  • Answer product questions. Selector documentation works as a knowledge base, so you can ask whether to open a maintenance window before making a change.
  • Reach outside Selector. External MCP servers, such as APM, ITSM, and automation platforms like Itential, join the same conversation, and their data is correlated with network findings.
  • Show its thinking. You can inspect Rosetta’s reasoning, the agents it called, and every tool call with its arguments.

A conversation with Rosetta

Here is how an exchange might run for an engineer managing a hybrid network of on-premises branch routers and cloud gateways.

  1. “Give me a report of my branch routers.” Rosetta returns 35 routers across seven regional groups.
  2. “This is hard to read. Give me a grouped table.” Rosetta restructures the same data by region, with no new query.
  3. “Why are the Denver branch sites unreachable?” Rosetta brings in Loom, which traces the outage to a configuration push six minutes earlier. The reply names the 10 affected routers and cites the telemetry, config diff, and topology behind the finding.
  4. “Open a ticket and notify the network team.” Rosetta hands the case to TicketMaster, which opens the incident with the root cause and evidence attached.

The engineer never leaves the conversation or switches tools.

One place to ask

Rosetta gives every engineer on every shift the same entry point to Selector Foundry. The same question gets the same answer, grounded in the same correlated evidence, whoever is on call. Behind that single conversation, five specialists handle correlation, ticketing, reporting, dashboards, and building new agents.
